HPPSC Veterinary Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidates have to satisfy the following conditions of HPPSC Veterinary Officer Eligibility Criteria before applying. 

A. Age Limit

The upper age limit shall be 45 years from the last date of closing the online applications yet to be announced. The age relaxations will be applicable to the following category of candidates.

B. Education

• The applicant must possess a degree of B.V.Sc. & A.H from a university as laid down under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984
• He/she must also be registered with the State Veterinary Council Act, 1984.

C. Others

• It will be preferable if the applicant has the knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh
• He/she must have suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the state.

HPPSC Veterinary Officer Selection Process 2024

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the personality test. In the case of a large number of applications, the commission will conduct a screening test or preliminary exam which can be conducted either online or offline. Hence the selection will take place in two stages.

1. Screening Test/ Preliminary Exam
2. Subject Aptitude Test (SAT)
3. Personality Test

HPPSC Veterinary Officer Exam Pattern 2024

• In the case of a higher number of applications received from eligible candidates, a screening test will be conducted either online/offline.
• The test will consist of objective types questions for the computer-based Test and objective/descriptive questions for the offline test.
• In case of wrongly answered questions or more than one choice selected, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark.

Paper II

A descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) of three hours duration having 120 marks.

• Minimum passing marks (UR): 35%
• Minimum passing marks (reserved): 30%
