Orissa High Court Translator 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Orissa High Court Translator must check the Orissa High Court Translator eligibility conditions specified by the board before submitting their applications. 

The Board has specified the age limit & educational qualification in the Orissa High Court Translator Notification. Candidates must be between 21 years to maximum 32 Years of age. A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or such other qualification equivalent thereto having English / Odia as an Honours subject with adequate knowledge in Computer Application.

Orissa High Court Translator Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates appearing for the Orissa High Court Translator must be familiar with the exam pattern for each stage of the selection process. By knowing the candidates can understand the type of questions, topic-wise weightage and marking scheme. This will help candidates develop an effective preparation strategy to score better. 1. Preliminary Examination/Test: 

• In Preliminary Examination/Test there will be 150 numbers of Objective Type of Questions with Multiple Choice Answers. 
• There will be a negative marking of 0.5 (half) mark for each wrong answer.

2. Main Written Examination:

• The Computer Application Test is qualifying in nature and the qualifying mark is 50% of the total marks in the said paper.
• Those candidates who secure at least 50% marks of the Computer Application Test shall be called upon to appear in the Viva-voce Test. 
• The Marks obtained in the Computer Application Test willl not be taken into account while drawing up the Final Merit List.

4. Viva-voce Test: 

• The total marks for the Viva-voice is 40 Marks
• The marks secured by the candidate(s) in the Viva-Voce Test will be added to the marks obtained by him/ her in the Main Written Examination.
• The names of the candidates will not be included in the Merit List, unless such candidates secure a minimum of 40% of marks in the Viva-Voce Test.
